Very cool to see my friend Steve Maing's great documentary on bloggers in China getting so much attention. A preview on the homepage of the NY Times and PBS in the fall.

Somehow a French artist named Florence Cosnefoy discovered a 2006 interview I did with Ed Ruscha, found my contact info through the Centre Pompidou in Paris and is using the interview in her book Twenty Five Floors of Building F. This blows my mind!

A few years ago, I ended up visiting the Gettysberg site in Pennsylvania. My girlfriend at the time was in the habit of picking random directions for us to set off on road trips. The visit to Gettysburg was funny, weird, vaguely sad. Atop a hill at the battle site, a Richard Neutra building housed a large, circular painting of the last Confederate charge. After a long debate between architectural preservationists and historical re-enactors, the building has been demolished.

A few years ago I had the honor of publishing some photos by Mike Brodie (aka "The Polaroid Kid") in the third issue of Anathema.

He has a new book out with the very good publisher Twin Palms press. Congrats to Paul Schiek for working to make it happen.
